LOCAL NEWS: Property owners win $1 million lawsuit against Ohio Turnpike

Pleased to report that O'Toole, McLaughlin, Dooley & Pecora just won a $1 million+ verdict in favor of a landowner whose property was being taken by the Ohio Turnpike Commission via eminent domain. Dennis O'Toole from OMDP tried the case on behalf of the Abraham family, whose land was being taken so that the Turnpike Commission could fill-in and eliminate a turnpike bridge it no longer wanted to maintain. At trial, the Turnpike Commission argued that the land and resulting damage to the remaining property was worth less than $12,000.00. Congratulations to the Abraham family.
